Annie Bonsignore

Annie Bonsignore is a multi-talented, internationally-recognized Singer/Songwriter/Musician with a multitude of performing and writing credits to her name. Born in South Africa to a musical family, she was singing professionally and composing from a very early age. After developing a successful professional career at home, she relocated to Toronto in her early 20’s and continued to develop her career, releasing her debut album “Shades of Red” to critical acclaim (CBC, BBC).

Ms. Bonsignore’s music is powerfully inspirational, reflective, and highly personal, unleashing her potent charm and virtuosic vocals to appreciative audiences throughout Ontario. She has a very distinctive vocal tone and performance style which draws on everything from opera to American country, and has been compared to singers Patsy Cline, Kate Bush, and Eva Cassidy. Annie‚Äôs music takes the listener on a rewarding journey of emotional depth, and her diverse repertoire includes both original music and a dizzying mix of 20th century hits.
Annie can be found at many of Toronto’s top venues, including Lula Lounge, Cameron House, 120 Diner and the TD Jazz Festival. She also has ongoing collaborations with producers Fred Mollin (Billy Joel, Carole King) and Ken Whiteley (Big Sugar, Tom Paxton), and is currently preparing for her 3rd and 4th albums.

Her second all-original album, “Be Careful What You Wish For”, was released in 2017 along with her recent single ‘Have A Little Faith’ which has been on regular rotation with both CBC and BBC radio stations.
