The 2016 TD-Newmarket jazz+ Festival will be held at Ray Twinney Complex (100 Eagle Street West, Newmarket, Ontario, L3Y 6T5) inside Arena One for evening concerts and outside in a fenced and gated area called South Park featuring two stages and over 90,000 square feet of grasslands.

There is over 2000 free parking spots are available at the Ray Twinney Complex. Free parking is also available at the Upper Canada Mall (NW parking lot by the Bay), which is a short walk away from RTC.
Yes! The events will take place in Downtown Newmarket. There will be two events:
1. Music at Riverwalk Stage in Riverwalk Commons – hosted by Glenn Marais from 6pm – 9pm Friday July 29th
2. Music on Main Street (Heritage Main Street, Newmarket, which will be closed for the event) – hosted by Steffi G from 12pm – 5pm Saturday July 30th

No, seats are assigned on a first come first serve basis. Arena One has seating in the stands plus a additional ~500 chairs on floor level, South Park will have ~400 chairs available. Patrons are welcome to stand, sit on the ground or bring a lawn chair or blanket for your personal comfort. Small sun umbrellas are also permitted.
No. Please leave all pets at home.
Both. During the day, the festival will take place in the outdoor field adjacent to Ray Twinney Complex called South Park. Click here to see festival site map.
At 8:30pm South Park will be closed, patrons will be relocated inside RTC Arena One for the evening performances (which take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night).
Patrons that have purchased a evening or all event pass can enter directly into RTC through Gate 3. Patrons that HAVE NOT purchased a evening pass will be required to leave the Gate 1 upon exiting South Park, then re-enter through Gate 2 upon entry into RTC Arena One.
Evening passes can be purchased in advanced at the Bar in South Park or at Gate 2 upon entry into RTC Arena One. It is highly recommended that you purchase an evening pass prior to going through Gate 2, as this will allow quicker access through the gate.

There are three stages: St Kitts Stage, Phoenix Stage, and TD Stage.
St Kitts Stage and the Phoenix Stage are located outside in South Park. The stages can be accessed through Gate 2.
TD Stage is located inside RTC Arena One. The stage can be accessed by either Gate 2 or Gate 3 (WRIST BAND ENTRY ONLY).

Yes. This event is for all ages. Children under the age of 12 gain free entry (during day the day event/programming), and must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There is no baby-sitting at the festival. During the festival, there are many activities for children. Please refer to the Creative Kids Zone page for more info.
Evening shows after 9pm are NOT recommended for children. The kids free event entry DOES NOT include concerts held after 9pm.
No. You can purchase alcohol inside of the event, but you are not allowed to bring alcohol into the event. Security guards will be checking at the gates. Your bag will be checked, so please do not try to sneak any alcohol through the gate. If alcohol is found, it will be confiscated.
Yes. Beer and wine will be for sale at the concert to of-age patrons (19+ years old). Wrist bands will be provided to of-age patrons; valid photo ID will be required for identification of legal age. Driver’s License, Ontario Photo Card and Passport are accepted, Health Cards are not accepted. The TD-Newmarket jazz+ Festival committee and its partners reserve the right to check and re-check any person’s identification at any time throughout the concert.
Yes. Food trucks will be on-site selling a variety of food and drinks. Items such as BBQ hamburgers and cold non-alcoholic drinks (pop and water) will be available for purchase.
Yes. Shirts and shoes are required. Sunscreen and hats are recommended.
Yes. The organizers of the TD-Newmarket jazz+ Festival want to provide a safe and friendly environment for everyone to enjoy the music. York Regional Police Officers (Paid Duty), York Region Police auxiliary officers, and several Security Officers will be on-site to assist in the overall safety of the event. St. John Ambulance will be onsite as well as Emergency Communications and York Region Amateur Radio Operators.
Yes. Several portable washrooms in South Park with hand-wash stations will be on-site and access to indoor toilets as required.
Yes. There are accessible parking spots located at Ray Twinney Complex. Both South Park and RTC Arena One are fully accessible. There are no stairs or levels to prohibit entry as the concert is ground level. Inside RTC Arena One, we have reserved a row of seating for persons with special needs. Volunteers can assist anyone at the gate with a specific requirement so please ask for help if needed. There will be a designated accessible portable washroom on-site.
No. Rain or Shine we have you covered at the new location so TD-Newmarket jazz+ Festival will occur rain or shine. There are no refunds due to inclement weather. We suggest you join us whether or not the weather cooperates as we can accommodate up to 3500 patrons inside Arena One. Text jazz to 33322 for festival updates.
No. If you are unable to attend for any reason, please feel free to pass your pre-purchased ticket(s) to a friend or family member.
Yes! You can upgrade your day ticket to a night ticket at the bar located in South Park OR you can purchase a upgraded ticket upon entry into Ray Twinney Complex Arena 1 at Gate 2.

– Opens at 5:00pm on Friday; 12pm on Satuday, Sunday and Monday
– Located at east side of South Park, next to visitor parking
– Tickets (day, night, or both) will be available for purchase at the gate
– Bags will be checked for restricted particles such as alcohol
Gate 2 (entry into RTC Arena One for Night Venue)
– Opens at 9:00pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
– Located at front entrance of Ray Twinney Complex
– Night tickets will be for sale at this gate
– Must purchase a night ticket or present already purchased ticket (security will be checking)
– Bags will be checked for restricted particles such as alcohol
Gate 3 (Direct PAID ONLY entry from SOUTH PARK into RTC Arena One for Night Venue)
– Opens at 8:30pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
– Located at back of RTC, next to South Park
– tickets are NOT FOR SALE at this gate
– Patrons must have a night venue wrist band (security will be checking)
– This gate is designed to provide patrons direct access from South Park into RTC Arena One
