No, seats are as available on a first come first serve basis. We provide about 800 chairs, however patrons are encouraged to bring their own chairs, small sun umbrellas and a blanket!
Yes – dogs are allowed – however, only well-mannered dogs are welcome on their leash and in your constant care!
Be sure to bring what your dog needs on site (poop bags, treats and water dishes). We will do our best to have water also available for your doggie!
There are water taps and washrooms so – so long as you have a doggie dish and a well mannered dog – all will be well!
Thursday nights at Riverwalk Commons July 5-Aug 16 Tribute Bands will perform on the outdoor Riverwalk Stage from 7pm, with Meet/Greet – Photo-Opportunities after the show at local restaurants.
July 6th-Aug 18th – Friday nights at Market Brewing Co. and Saturday nights at Cachet Restaurant – indoor live entertainment – free admission.
Festival Weekend – Aug 24-26 Both outdoor & indoor components! Multiple stages will be outdoors for our main musical entertainment. We have 2 large viewing tents for our patrons. We also have family related activities ongoing inside the Lions Halls – we call Wonderland – the Mad Hatter Tea Party will happen on the hour 1, 2 and 3pm with other chidren’s interactive entertainment from 3:30-6pm
6-9pm Sat/Sun York Region Open Mic presents fantastic local talents on the Wonderland Stage!

TD-NMF will have Two main outdoor stages: TD Bank Stage and the St Kitts Music Stage
One indoor: Wonderland Stage area (inside the Lions Halls Community Centre)
Yes. This is an all ages event. Free for children under age of 12 who must be accompanied by an adult at all times. There is no baby-sitting at the festival. There are lots of interactive activities for children, plus interesting characters for great photo opportunities and fun. Please refer to the Creative Kids Zone page for more info.
Saturday and Sunday we have Mad Hatter Tea Parties, Marky Monday and other live family entertainment inside Wonderland area (Lions Halls). We also offer creative crafts, painting and music workshops.
No one can bring alcohol into the festival, it is against the law. The festival has a Special Occasion Permit which allows us to serve alcohol. You can purchase alcohol at our Beer/Wine Lounge. Security guards and York Regional Police will be checking.
Your bag will be checked at the gate. Do not attempt to bring alcohol or prohibited substances through our gates. If alcohol is found, it will be confiscated and you may be escorted out of the festival. There may also be fines levied.
Support your Festival! Sales of alcohol is an important means of revenue so we can pay for all the great entertainment, staging and more!

Yes. Regular, Craft Beers and Red/White wine and some coolers will be for sale at the concert to of-age patrons (19+ years old). Craft Beer will be offered by Market Brewing Co. and Arch Brewery. Valid photo ID required to identify legal age. Once carded Wrist bands will be provided to of-age patrons; Driver’s License, Ontario Photo Card and Passport are accepted, Health Cards are not accepted. The TD-Newmarket Music Festival committee and its partners reserve the right to check and re-check any person’s identification at any time throughout the concert.
Yes an excellent variety of Food Trucks & Food Vendors will be on-site selling ribs, corn, Touro treats, Glad I Ate Here, Healthy Smoothies, Ice Cream and more! a variety of food and drinks. Check on line to see the 2108 Vendor list.
Yes. Shirts and shoes are required. Sunscreen and hats are recommended.
Yes. The organizers of the TD-Newmarket Music Festival provide a safe and friendly environment for everyone to enjoy the music and festival fun. York Regional Police Paid Duty Officers and Auxiliary officers, as well as Security Officers will be on-site to assist in the overall safety of the event. We also are lucky to have York Region Amateur Radio Operators handling all Emergency Communications and a booth manned by St. John Ambulance onsite. We are located within walking distance of a Newmarket YRP office.
Yes. There are several washrooms inside and outside of the Lions Halls Community Centre. We also provide portable toilets just north of the Main Gate including one for those with special needs. Our portables are cleaned and re-supplied daily as are the indoor toilet facilities.
Yes. Accessible parking spots located at Riverwalk Commons on first come basis. There are no stairs or levels to prohibit entry as the concert is ground level.
Alert: One must take care where the Riverwalk Commons water feature has been shut down as there is a 6 inch drop to the area where we have our Bar and Viewing Tents, however, for safety we provide ramps, safety tape and signage.
Volunteers are happy to assist patrons with special needs. Please ask for help if needed. There are a few accessible washrooms on-site.
No. Festival activities run July 5th – August 26th weather permitting.
Rain or Shine we’ll do our best to have you covered by moving some of our entertainment inside to the Lions Hall wherever possible.
We can accommodate up to 500 patrons inside Lions Hall.
Festival passes and tickets are non-refundable.
Please consider your purchase an investment in the festival, which hundreds of people work hard to produce so we all can enjoy entertainment and support our Creative Culture in Newmarket.
The TD-NMF is run by non-profit organization – Arts Music Festivals York Region. The festival itself us run by small number of staff, dedicated Board members and volunteers. We also use the festival as a training centre for our Youth – offering them on hands experience. It is a community festival and we appreciate your support.
